After the phase of Recession, the MBAs are severely hit by the Downfall in both requirement for the Qualified Management Proffessionals, and the Packages they were being offered.

Also there are a huge number of MBAs coming out of colleges without a penny of Idea what MBA should be doing...

Please be honest, rather than being judgemental in your opinion..

Recession hasn't devalued MBAs nor has it stopped their potential from being recognised, It is just that corporates are making hay while the sun shines. When quality talent is available at throwaway prices, they d prefer building up a pool for better times at lower acquisition cost.

ALONG WITH RECESSION THERE IS A PROBLEM OF PLENTY.NATURALLY ANY MANAGEMENT WOLD LIKE TO STRETCH A RUPEE,AND WOULD NOT LIKE TO PAY MORE WHEN CANDIDATES WITH EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE ARE AVAILABLE AT A LESSER PRICE.

Yess buddy .. its right .. somewher companies are really doing cost cutting due to having long term effect of recession and other companies which are not affected by this downfall are juz takin good profit out of it... unnecessarily reducing pays and stuff like that.... so what ever may be the reason sufferers are MBA graduates..

Is this prejudice post Recession really needed. Many Compnaies now, would prefer running " rambharose" instead of hiring competent proffessionals.

At the Cost of Cutting Down their cost, the Companies have devalued their own identity in terms of General Reflection in society.

And the ones suffering due to this are the MBAs who knew what they were doing and now are repenting that they did it.

The valuations done was wrong earlier also.

MNCs were giving higher salary to their staff overseas and that forced to give to their Indian counterparts, even Indian houses started copying the same. Both ignored that what should be the Price
