The IT operations manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing IT operations processes for the corporate IT infrastructure. This will include alert management, ticket management, capacity and performance analysis, metrics development and reporting, and development of, and compliance with, operational policies and procedures. This work will be performed with a focus on high availability and operational excellence. You will manage expectations across all stakeholder groups, share responsibility for project success, and recommend infrastructure improvements. The scope of systems includes Unix and Windows, databases, networks, voice systems, messaging and various other applications.
- Manage a team of 5-10 system administrators and expand operations to India to provide 24x7 global coverage
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in operation of systems
- Take escalations from the Tier1 helpdesk and respond/resolve issues within defined SLAs
- Play a Key role in improving operational efficiencies through system automation
- Integrate best practices into daily operational processes
- Provide developmental leadership to staff members
- Available during business and non-business hours to address operational issues
The candidate will have in-depth technical knowledge and experience as an operations manager, and the ability to oversee activity in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. The candidate must be well experienced in expanding and running operations in a Global environment. The candidate must also be a well organized self-starter, able to deliver on time, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Candidates applying for this position may have bachelor's degrees in computer science and engineering or information technology. Any applicant for this position should have five-plus years of experience in building and managing IT operations.
