Roles and responsibility for
level 2 support Engineer, leading IT services company, Bangalore:
Look into application, system and infrastructure escalations.
ü Monitor production systems running 24x7.
ü Fine tune monitoring tools Nagios, BMC TM ART, Cacti ,Linux
ü Follow standard process & procedures while working on tasks, tickets and changes.
ü Participate in system, network and application diagnosis.
ü Automating daily manual tasks to improve productivity
ü Co-ordinate with internal/external teams
ü Must be available to work in shifts on rotation
ü Assist in implementation, monitoring, and management tools
ü Effective communication and escalations of critical issues impacting business
Requirements for
level 2 support Engineer, leading IT services company, Bangalore:
- Previous production support (24/7) experience.
- Experience of Unix/Linux System Administration.
- Knowledge of supporting web-based J2EE applications like – Jboss, Resin, Weblogic, Websphere etc.
- Experience in UNIX and network troubleshooting.
- Experience in Shell/Perl scripting
- Experience in monitoring production systems
- Should possess strong written and verbal communication skills
