* Maintaining our in-house and off-the-shelf network monitoring and management solutions
* Creating and maintaining custom monitoring tools and alerts
* Creating productivity tools for the Network Engineering group
* Systems administration tasks for the servers that house the tools for the Network Engineering group
The candidate will have in-depth scripting/programming knowledge and experience as a systems administrator or network engineer. The candidate must be a well-organized self-starter, able to deliver on time and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
* 5+ years experience installing and maintaining open source network monitoring solutions.
* Strong knowledge of Linux based operating systems installation and management
* Extensive background creating multi-vendor SNMP and CLI-based tools (Perl/Python/Ruby/Expect)
* Experience with MySQL and database management
* BS in Computer Science or related field
Desired Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS or Juniper JUNOS
* Experience with tools-based interaction with Avaya Communications Manager or Aura
* Strong knowledge of LDAP and/or Microsoft Active Directory
